Objective To compare the different CTA characteristics in lower limbs between diabetic and non-diabetic ath- erosclerosis with analysis of the clinical significance. Methods CTA results of 64 patients with non-diabetic atherosclerosis and 57 patients with diabetic atherosclerosis were analyzed. Depending on the degree of stenosis, it was divided into 0, 1, 2, 3- class, and then the data were orgawized for statistical analysis and comparison. Results Non-diabetic patients with atherosclerosis in the femoral artery, superficial femoral artery, deep femoral artery, popliteal artery disease was more severe than patients with diabetes, there were significant differences between the two groups. In other lower limb arterial lesions, there was no sig- nificant difference between the two groups. In diabetic and non-diabetic atherosclerosis lesions analyzed, the left and right side showed no significant difference. Conclusion In the femoral artery, superficial femoral artery, deep femoral artery and popliteal artery, nondiabetic patients with atherosclerosis was more severe than diabetes. Both nondiabetic and diabetic atherosclerosis are symmetrical disease processes in bilateral lower extremity.
