One hundred and eighty 9- 10 kg Landrace × Yorkshire crossbred piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups, each group had 5 replicates and each replicate had 12 piglets so as to study the dosage effects of copper glycinate(Cu-Gly)on the growth performance, fecal copper content and fecal bacterial flora of weanling pigs. The results showed that when the amount of Cu-Gly added to diet was reduced from 120 mg/kg to 60 or 30 mg/kg, the daily feed intake, average daily gain, feed conversion rate and apparent digestibility of dry matter did not vary significantly, but the fecal copper content was decreased by 69.44% or 49.137% ;There were no significant differences in the coliform numbers of the 3 groups' fecal samples, but the numbers of lactic acid bacteria in the fecal samples of 60 and 30 mg/kg Cu-Gly treatment groups were significantly higher than that of 120 mg/kg Cu-Gly treatment group; The Shannon indexes of the fecal bacterial flora of both 60 and 30 mg/kg Cu-Gly treatment groups were not significantly different but significantly higher than that of 120 mg/kg Cu-Gly treatment group.
