摘　　要：以太原市东山地区为例,对休闲社会背景下城市近郊地区的保护和开发进行了探讨,指出良好的生态环境是城市近郊地区可持续发展的根本,将旅游功能与城市近郊地区独特的资源相结合,进行合理的商业开发,是城市近郊地区稳妥转型、保持活力的关键。Taking the east mountain area of Taiyuan city as an example,the article explores the development and protection of suburb area under the leisure society background. It points out that：good ecological environment is the basis of sustainable development of suburb area. Combining tourism functions with special suburb resources and developing rationally is the key for transforming suburb style and keeping its vitality.
