摘  要:结合串联补偿装置的工作原理,仔细分析了金属氧化物限压器(metal oxide varistor,MOV)的工况,比较了TCSC与FSC不同构成的串联补偿装置中MOV的特点,对MOV的过电压保护和控制措施进行了较深入的讨论、总结。对设计MOV的关键技术——保护水平、能量耐受和工频电压稳定性、电流分布、特殊的短路电流释放能力等进行了深入研究。笔者根据国内某一500 kV交流电力系统串补工程的招标技术要求,设计了复合外套和瓷外套不同结构的MOV,产品通过了中国电力科学研究院的型式试验,满足工程需要。Operating condition of a metal-oxide varistor(MOV)is analyzed considering the operating principle of series capacitor bank. The characteristics of the MOVs in the series capacitor banks for TCSC and FSC are compared, and the overvoltage protection of MOV and control measures are discussed. The key technologies for design of MOV are described, including protection level, energy withstand, power-frequency voltage stability, current distribution, and special release ability of short circuit current. According to the requirements in a bids invitation for compensation project of a 500 kV AC power system, two kinds of MOV structures with composite shield and porcelain shield were designed, and the products have passed the type test in the China Electric Power Research Institute, indicating that they meet the engineering requirement.
