摘　　要：以河南教育学院外语系英语专业学生为研究对象,利用理论阐述和数据统计方法,分析英语专业学生自主阅读的现状,指出其成因主要包括依赖性强,自主意识淡薄;情感焦虑,文化缺失;考试制度的制约;缺乏系统的元认知等阅读策略训练。提出教师和学生都要认识到自主阅读的必要性,树立自主学习的意识。Based on the elaboration of relevant theories and the data statistics approach, this essay analyzes the cur- rent situation of English majors＇ autonomous reading in Foreign Languages Department of Henan Institute of Educa- tion. Problems revealed in the research are brought about by such causes as strong dependence, weak sense of auton- omy, emotional anxiety, culture default, restriction of the examination system and lack of the training of systematic meta-cognitive reading cessity of autonomous strategies. The author reading and develop a finally proposes that both teachers and students should realize the ne- consciousness of autonomous learning
