摘　　要：英国作家爱德华·摩根·福斯特的小说表现各类不同阶层、不同民族、不同宗教信仰甚至不同性别之间人与人的关系,作者在解决人与人之间的矛盾以及实现人与人之间、人与自然之间、人的物质生活和精神生活和谐问题的途径时表现出了人文主义爱与和谐相融的思想意识,这种和谐思想意识对世界各民族希望建立一个和平共处、相互尊重、和谐兼容的世界家园的美好理想具有一定的启示。E.M. Forster shows the relation between different classes, nations, races, and people with different religions and different gender in his works. Forster delivers an idea of humanism＇s harmony and love in his novels to solve the man＇s mutual conflicts and achieve the harmony between man and man, man and nature, as well as material life and mental life. The idea of harmony has enlightenment to build up a harmonious world of peaceful coexistence and mutual respects.
