摘　　要：北京颐和园里的昆明湖不仅是这座经典园林的灵魂和骄傲,也是北京城市发展过程中的一项重要水利成果与城市水系格局中的重要文化符号。从最初的小型天然湖泊到今天的昆明湖,它的变迁不仅限于自然界的沧海桑田,而且与人类的改造息息相关,被城市发展赋予了更多的人文含义。探索梳理其源流变迁,可以使我们深刻认识昆明湖之于北京水源的重要性以及隐藏在其景观功能、水利功能之后的文化内涵。Located in Summer Palace, as an important water conservancy achievement in Beijing, Kunming Lake is the soul and pride of the classical garden. From a small natural stream to a lake, Kunming Lake experienced great change which was closely related to human＇s transformation. Moreover, cultural meaning was also added by it to the urban development. To explore the origin and vicissitude of Kunming Lake, we can make a profound understanding of its importance and find the cultural connotation hidden in the function of landscape and water conservancy.
