摘　　要：党的十八大提出新型城镇化的发展战略,这也为城市交通的发展提出了更高的要求。未来中国城市交通发展模式及发展方向,值得认真思考和研究。本文介绍并比较了两种典型的城市交通模式,梳理中国目前面临的现状,提出中国要走新型城镇化道路,就必须选择TOD模式。最后根据国家城镇化战略,提出中小城市是关键,对中小城市如何实施TOD做了简要说明。The CPC puts forward the development strategy of the new urbanization at the 18th congress, she also makes higher requirements for the development of urban traffic.It is worth thinking about seriously and study on future urban transportation development patterns and directions.Based on the two typical urban transportation patterns and the current situation what China face at the present time,this paper points out China must select TOD on the way to new urbanization.Finally, according to the national urbanization strategy the paper points out the small and medium-sized cities is the key and gives the briefly explain how the small and medium-sized cities to carry out the TOD.
