摘 要:传媒公共性的建构存在乐观和悲观两种倾向:一些学者不断对公共领域概念进行重构,使其能适应当代社会的变化,另些学者则倡导传媒领域的实践革新,两者仅从市民社会和公共领域单方面去探索民主的出路,难免陷入困境。这一问题的研究要取得突破,应结合中国特殊的政治体制与传媒体制,具体分析传媒与国家、市场、社会之间的动态关系,着重从实践角度分析我国媒体公共性的产生机制、动力与逻辑。在此基础上,将哈贝马斯的理想公共领域视为价值规范,同时采用其后期的多元公共领域思想,建构适合中国情境的媒介公共性和公共领域概念及理论,避免西方中心主义、媒体中心主义和技术决定论。This paper analyzes the issues, research approaches and main problems as presented in the Chinese and foreign theories on media publicity and the public sphere. Western scholars' central concern is how to avoid suppression of the media by power and capital. Finding a way to democracy only through the single dimension of civic society and public sphere cannot avoid entrapment, because constant theoretical adaptation and practical exploration failed to fundamentally change the reality that media is a slave to capital. Chinese scholars' central concern is how to construct our media publicity and public sphere while avoiding West centrism, the tendency toward media centrism and technological determinism. We believe that a breakthrough hinges on the successful construction of the concepts and theories of the public sphere that takes into consideration China's unique context. Research paradigm should turn from "significance of the construction of the media in the public sphere" to "significance of the construction of the use of the media in the public sphere". Research should pivot on the "actual" than on the "ought to", from system to practice, and from the media to the public.
