英语词义褒贬色彩的转化与翻译

摘　　要：词语的感情色彩相对恒定,但也有动态的一面。褒义词可以转化为贬义词,贬义词也可以转化为褒义词。译者若不能全面把握词语的感情色彩,很可能会误解原作者的情感基调。本文先通过举例的形式介绍词汇感情色彩转化的常见形式,进而分析转化的原因,最后探讨转化给译者的启示。The affective meanings of words are relatively stative but they are also dynamic. Derogatory words may transform into complimentary words and vice versa. If the translator fails to catch the subtle affective meanings of words, s/ he may misinterpret the affective note of the source text writer. This paper firstly classifies different kinds of transformation of affective meanings by exemplars, then analyzes the rationale of the transformation and finally offers some know-how＇s to the translator.
