摘　　要：基于已有油气地质等资料分析,湖北省页岩气主要目的层包括下震旦统陡山沱组(Z1d)、下寒武统牛蹄塘组(∈1n)、上奥陶统五峰组—下志留统龙马溪组(O3w-S1l)和下侏罗统(J1)等,重点介绍其地层沉积、岩性、地球化学特征,初步预测了页岩气藏有利区。与美国东部页岩气盆地相似,预示本区具有较大的页岩气勘探潜力。Based on analysis of existing data of oil and gas geology,the main shale gas formations in Hubei province include the Lower Sinian Doushantuo（ Z1d）,Lower Cambrian Niutitang（ ∈1n）,Upper Ordovician Wufeng-Lower Silurian Longmaxi（ O3w- S1l）,and Lower Jurassic（ J1） formations. The favorable shale gas reservoirs are predicted based on description of stratigraphic sedimentary,lithology and geochemical characteristics. Similar to the shale gas basins in the eastern America,great exploration potential for shale gas is suggested in this area.
