摘　　要：身体的历史是一个不断被诋毁、排斥和压制的历史,而这一进程随着工业文明的繁荣而达到顶峰。D.H.劳伦斯感受到了这一对身体的压制,因此,以文字的方式反抗压制、帮助身体突围成为他终生的事业。在《查特莱夫人的情人》中,这种努力以最为彻底的方式得以表达。劳伦斯描绘了一片葱茏的小树林,它构成了一个前现代的伦理共同体,傲视外部丑恶的工业文明。在这一自足的空间中,人们遵循着迥异于主流价值体系的伦理价值观,身体和欲望自由地呼吸,得到了彻底的解放,人也因此而获得新生。在伦理上,这一空间以隐喻的方式与外部世界形成了根本性对抗。这不仅是劳伦斯对压抑身体的工业文明及其所代表的工具理性进行的最激烈批判,更为重要的是,这部作品实质上也是劳伦斯对新的伦理共同体的虔诚召唤和建构。The history of body is one of repression which reaches its peak when the industrial civilization is in full swing. D. H. Lawrence undertakes it as his life-long battle to fight for the liberation of the body through writing. His novel Lady Chatterley＇s Lover best manifests the earnestness of this endeavor. In this novel the forest Lawrence describes serves as a pre-modern ethical community, in which the body is liberated, enabling the awakening or revitalization of Connie. In this ethical community, people follow a set of new moral values, differing from those upheld by the mainstream society of their time. Through this unique perspective, Lawrence not only most severely criticizes the industrial civilization as well as the instrumental reason embodied in it; but more importantly, he also sincerely calls for a new ethical and social order.
