摘　　要：近年来,公共信息在鸟类生态学的研究中越来越受到广泛的关注,其概念、作用机制以及相关机理也日趋成熟.但关于公共信息的研究主要由国外开展,而国内的相关研究则相对较少.文章将重点从公共信息概念的角度入手,结合其提出的理论背景,跟踪最新的研究进展,综述了与其他信息类型的区别、在动物行为生态学中的应用以及未来发展趋势.这些信息类型主要包括个体信息和社会信息,针对公共信息在鸟类行为学中的研究,目前主要集中在公共信息在取食行为、栖息地选择、配偶质量判断与信息传递等方面.虽然国外在该领域已经进行了大量的实验探讨和理论研究,但是对于其中的一些问题目前尚未达到一致的认识,我们也期待有更多国内的专家和学者对此方面进行科学的统计分析和实验研究来完善和深入该理论体系的研究.In the past few years, researching public information （PI） is getting more and more focus in the field of bird ecology, and the related concept and mechanism are becoming more mature. However, researchers abroad have studied more about public information on various kinds of individuals but not too much in China. This view focused on the concept of public information, combining with the related theoretical background, following the latest research progress. It＇ s the overview of the differences with other types of information in animal behavioral ecology and the application of future trends. These information types mainly include personal information and social information. According to the researches of public information in avian behavior, it mainly focuses on birds＇ feeding behavior, habitat selection, mate quality judgement and information transfer and so on. Even though large numbers of theoretically plausible explanations for public information abroad, there have been few direct empirical tests that can provide unambiguous support for only one type of explanation interiorly. We are looking forward to more domestic experts and scholars for scientific statistical analysis and experimental research of public information to improve and complete the theory system.
