赠地学院与我国独立学院的对比及启示

摘　　要：美国的赠地学院与我国独立学院在实现国家高等教育由精英教育转变成大众教育,促进高等教育的大众化方面存在异曲同工之处。文章从赠地学院和我国独立学院的建立初衷、办学特点、制度保障等方面进行对比分析,认为我国独立学院的健康发展要以立法为保障、以合理的办学定位为基础、以社会发展需要为目标。Land grant colleges in America and independent colleges in China have different approaches but equally satisfactory results in the pmmotiort of higher education from elite education to popular education and results in the promotion of the popularization of higher education. This paper compares and analyzes the building purpose, school characteristics, and system security of Land grant colleges in American and independent colleges in China, and holds that the sound development of independent colleges in China must have legislation as the guarantee, reasonable orientation as its founda- tion, and the needs of social development as the goal.
