严廷中生平及其《药栏诗话》的价值

摘　　要：严廷中是清代嘉、道间云南著名诗人,少时随父仕宦,后出官山东莱阳,四十岁时暂居扬州、江宁,之后曾主讲家乡书院,晚年再官莱阳,殁于莱阳。严廷中与高密诗派诗人交往密切,十分推崇前辈诗人袁枚。其《药栏诗话》收录了父辈师长和其在武昌、扬州时结交的诗友诗作,反映了他论诗以柔为主、以真为胜的理念,和对"温柔和平、缠绵典雅"诗风的欣赏。作品对认识乾嘉扬州诗坛人文景观、清代女性诗人群以及清代云南文学都有重要价值。Yan Tingzhong was the famous poet in Yunnan in mid Qing dynasty. When he was young, his father was an official and he always followed around. Later, he himself was an official in Laiyang, a county in Shandong province, and lived in Yangzhou and Jiangning, which was a region in Nanjing, at the age of forty. Then, he taught in his home academy, and was an official again in Laiy- ang in his later years till his death here. Yah had close communication with Gaomi poetry school and admired Yuan Mei, an eider poet. His Herbal Garden Poetry Talks includes the poems by the friends of his father＇s, his teachers and his own in Wuchang and Yangzhou. The works show his view that euphemism and truth were the mainstream of poetry criticism and his appreciation for the poetic style of gentility, peaceful, lingering and elegance. The works was important for the realization of the human landscape of Yangzhou parnassus, women poets and Yunnan literature in Qing dynasty.
