摘　　要：周氏兄弟作为中国现代文学史上的双子星座,各以其独特的贡献和成就成为文学史研究无法避开的重镇。周氏兄弟的为人为文有着极为强烈的反差,尤其是在五四退潮以后,鲁迅转向左翼,而周作人走向隐逸。但在五四新文学革命前,周氏兄弟都过着隐逸生活,而且经历了相当长的时期。这段隐逸生活对他们后来的文学创作和文学道路产生了直接的导向作用,并影响了他们后来的人生和文体选择。纵观周氏兄弟在不同时期的创作题材、审美风格和情感倾向,都与他们的隐逸有着密切的联系。The Zhou brothers,'Gemini'in the history of modern Chinese literature who both have made their own unique contributions,are figures that researchers cannot keep away from. But the two brothers' attitudes towards life and writing were sharply deferent,especially after the ebb of the May 4th Movement,Lu Xun turned left while Zhou Zuoren chose to live a life of seclusion. Before the May 4th New Literature Revolution,the Zhou brothers both had a long secluded life. Their hermit experience had a direct guiding role on their later literary writing and their choice of literary direction of development and affected their later life and literary styles. A comprehensive survey of the Zhou brothers' themes,aesthetic styles,and emotion tendencies in different periods of time indicates that all these have close relations with their seclusion.
