摘　　要：文章就如何更好地开发、利用信息 ,并为社会服务 ,从而使图书馆成为信息服务中心 ,提出了强化信息意识 ,成立专门机构 ,加强文献信息资源体系建设 ,加强自动化建设 ,采取多种多样的信息服务形式 ,加强宣传、扩大影响、调查研究。The article gives an account of some specific measures of strengthening library information service in order to effectively expore and make good use of library information for the purpose of serving the society. Some of the measures are as follows: raising information consciousness; setting up a special organization to strengthen the construction of information resource system; enhancing antomatic construction; adopting varied ways to give information service; extending the propaganda work and the influence of a library as an information centre, making an investigation and having an intimate understanding of people's requirements of information. [
