摘　　要：西北联大不仅秉持独特开放的办学理念,而且培育了一批独具特色的学科专业,西北历史研究就是其中之一。西北联大时期的西北历史研究取得了诸多成效:对西北的历史文物古迹进行了考察、发掘与保护;撰写了大量高水平、开创性的学术论著;在教学活动中自觉加强关于西北历史的相关内容。西北联大对西北历史的研究具有重要意义:它弘扬了民族精神,增强了民族自信心;为西北历史研究特色学科的形成与发展奠定了坚实基础,并成为20世纪中国学术"转向"的重要标志;客观上为国家未来西部开发建设战略的规划、实施提供了一定的历史依据。The formation of the Northwest Associated University was one of the import measures for the implementation of Nanjing national government＇s northwest strategy. Northwest Historical Research that achieved many remarkable effects was one of them, the scholars made a series of investigation, excavation and protection of historical relics in northwest china, strengthened the related contents about the northwestern history in teaching activities. Therefore, the university played significant roles in researching on history of northwest; it highlighted northwestern culture, promoted national spirit and enhanced national self-confidence. All that laid a solid foundation for formation and development of the special subject ; it became an important symbol of Chinese academic transition in the 20th century
