摘　　要：国际音标在语言学的学习和研究中应用广泛,因其字母和符号繁多,经常会出现显示不够美观甚至出现混乱之处。该文主要探讨和研究国际音标符号特点,OpenType字库及其高级排版特性,并给出了一种采用OpenType字库技术解决国际音标TrueType字库中存在的附加符(Diacritics)出现位置偏差、附加符与元音或辅音叠加等影响字符显示问题的解决方案。International phonetic alphabets are widely used in language learning and the study on lin-guistics. But the display of the alphabets is not often perfect or even is mixed because of a variety of lettersand symbols. This paper mainly investigates the features of International Phonetic Alphabet symbols,Open Type Font as well as its characteristics of the advanced typesetting. It is proposed that the affectingappearance problems, such as location deviation of diacritics in International Phonetic Alphabet True TypeFont, overlap of diacritics and vowels or consonant, would be solved down with Open Type Font skills.
