摘　　要：本文从对图书馆学产生重大影响的文献、人物与事件及图书馆学理论中重要思想、理念的形成等方面概述了21世纪的公共图书馆发展历史。随着计算机技术的不断提高,图书馆学界完善了社会信息公平的理念,这是21世纪图书馆最重要的理论成果。而应用型数字图书馆的诞生,将承载着这个使命引领公共图书馆向更加兼容、更加多元化的广阔领域发展。This article summarizes the public library development history in the twenty-first century from the aspects such as literature and people and events which have great influence on library science,the forming of important thought and idea in library science theory. With continuous development of computer technology,the concept of social information justice is perfect in library science. It is the most important theory achievement in the twenty-first century. Moreover,with the birth of application of digital library,the mission be carried will lead public library to develop in the broad field of more compatible and more diversified.
