摘　　要："五四"新文学产生之后,人们有理由追溯其产生的历史必然原由,也就是从中国古代文学中寻找新文学变革的历史渊源。研究者试图作出各种阐释,由于研究目标的差异,势必产生偏颇。"五四"新文学并非舶来品。论文试图从重要历史人物的角度考察中国新文学的滥觞。将其发生还原到新旧交替、中西杂糅的特殊文坛风气中,细绎这一根本现象。据事实以立论,揭开历史的朦面—从晚清"诗界革命"到"五四"白话文运动之复杂背景,即可细究中国新文学发生的最初动因,其巨擘推手就是承先启后的两个关键历史人物—黄遵宪与胡适。从黄遵宪到胡适,在理论链条和文学创作的实践上,已经构成"五四"新文学产生最突出的本土文学之源。After the ＂May Fourth＂ new literature produced,People have reason to trace the history of the inevitable reasons which produces, Is looking for a new literary change history from ancient Chinese literature.
