摘　　要：本文根据混合层和温跃层的两种不同定义，对1998年南海南北部和西太平洋混合层和 温跃层的定点观测资料进行了计算和分析，比较了不同定义确定的混合层，温跃层的共同点 和差异。在此基础上，得出南海和西太平洋的障碍层厚度。Based on the different definitions of the mixlayer and the thermocline, the mixl ayer and the upper bound ary of the thermocline depth of the two sites of the So uth China Sea (SCS) are calculated and analyzed in this paper, at the same time, a comparison between the two different definitions are carried out. Finally, th e thickness of the barrier layer of the South China Sea and the West Pacific are obtained and analyzed.
