摘　　要：WCDMA(UTRAFDD)是第三代移动通信的主流标准 ,预计会在全球大多数地区得到广泛的应用。WCDMA的标准化进程会影响到其无线接入网络(RAN)的研发、生产和运营 ,从当前标准化进程和技术趋势看 ,Release99是必经的阶段。对于无线接入网络设备和相应的网络规划和优化软件 ,需要按照高的频谱利用率、灵活的多业务承载能力、多样化组网方式等要求来完成 。WCDMA (UTRA FDD), the main specification of the third generation mobile telecommunication, will be widely adopted in the most area of world . The standardization of WCDMA has deeply influenced on the research, development and services of radio access network (RAN). From the trend of the schedule of standardization, Release 99 must be implemented at the first step. In order to meet requirements of the mobile telecommunication environment and telecommunication services, the equipment of RAN and the corresponding software must have high spectrum efficiency, and flexible multi-service and multiform network configuration are also should be provided.
