对《图书馆情报源指南(英)》的评介与联想

摘　　要：简介了英国情报专家Ｊａｍｅｓ ＧＯ１１教授对情报源的定义及划分方法，通过对物质情报源、文字情报源、书目情报源的分析、评介，阐明了各种情报源的特点、新旧情报载体的关系以及新型情报载体的发展对情报源和情报传递的影响。联想到当今世界和中国各种情报载体及书目控制的发展现状及网络化、数字化的进程，肯定了 Ｊａｍｅｓ Ｇ Ｏ１１教授所著的专著《 Ａ Ｇｕｉｄｅ Ｔｏ Ｓｏｕｒｃｅｓ Ｏｆ Ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ　Ｉｎ　Ｌｉｂｒａｒｉｅｓ》的历史贡献。The essay introduces briefly the English information expert and professor Jame G Olle's definition and classification of information sources. By analyzing and evaluating the physical sources, literary sources and the bibliographical sources, the essay expounds the features of different information sources and identifies the effects on information sources and transmission.Associating with the present development of catalog control and information bearers in China and abroad as well as the process of internet and digitalization,the author affirms the historical contribution of Prof. James G Oll in his works.
