Marketing has been adopted by enterprises for a long time, sound marketing has been the base of their profit . To go with the tide of social development and improve competitive capability, library must introduce the theory of marketing and then to improve service quality, to meet demand of readers. This paper set forth the concept of marketing and that of library marketing. stress how to extend library service by making use of marketing.
