摘　　要：五对孪生本种山羊,半数用生长抑素与甲状腺球蛋白偶联物主动免疫。免疫山羊获得明显的抗体滴度,生长速度提高15.2％。血液中胰岛素和生长激素水平与对照山羊无明显差异。结果表明:生长抑素对家畜生长起重要生理调节作用,解除其抑制影响,能促进家畜生长。This study was conducted to investigate the effect of active immunization against somatostatin (SST) on goat growth. Ten (five pairs)twin kids of native goat weighing about 5 kg were assigned to either a treatment or a control group. The goats of T group were immunized against SST linked to thyroglobulin. Significant antibody titres were obtained in all these goats. A 15. 2% increase in rate of weight gain was observed in animals immunized against SST-thyroglobulin compared with control animals which were immunized against thyroglobulin alone. No significant difference was found between the groups in the basal levels of either insulin or growth hormone. The results suggest that somatostatin plays an important physiological role in regulating growth stimulation. Removal of the inhibitory effect of somatostatin can result in an increased growth of animals.
