摘 要:本文对具有 Kerr非线性包层和线性匀芯的光纤在不同光功率下的传播特性进行了理论分析和数值计算 .结果表明 ,在适当光功率下 ,当模折射率 N等于芯折射率 nf 时 ,芯场变得相当均匀 ,而包层场迅速衰减 .对于自聚焦包层 ,当从 N <nf 逐渐变到 N >nf时 ,芯场剖面越过 N =nf从凸变凹 .在拐点 ,芯场成为均匀的 .论文给出了模场分布和光功率与模折射率的关系 .指出纤芯出现匀场预期会在光纤器件、光电子器件。Theoretical analysis and numerical calculations are carried out for propagationchracteristics of TE 0 modes in a fiber with a Kerr type nonlinear cladding and a linear uniform core at different values of optical power.It is shown that at an appropriate optical power,when the modal index N equals to the refractive index of core n f,the core field becomes uniform while the cladding field decay rapidly.For self focusing claddings,when the modal index N increases gradually from N<n f to N>n f,the core field profile changes from convex to concave across N=n f.At the turning point,the core field is uniform.Modal field distributions and relations between optical power and modal index are given.It is notified that the occurrence of a uniform field in a fiber core may perhaps have prospective applications in optical fiber devices,opto electronic and photonic devices.
