摘　　要：介绍了桌面视频系统的关键技术,包括有关的国际标准,终端的组成结构、实现方案和软硬件体系,以及多点系统的组成,然后介绍了它在远程教育、制造业的远程协作以及远程协同办公等方面的实际应用。这些实例充分说明桌面视频系统在远程协作中具有很好的应用前景。In this paper, some key techniques of desktop AV system have been described, including recent international standards, terminal composition, hardware implementation schemes, software architecture, and multi-point system as well. Then some important applications of the system in the field of tele-cooperation have been introduced, such as distance education, tele-cooperation for SMEs, and the document management and tele-cooperation for the government personal work environment. These examples demonstrate the broad application prospects of desktop AV sysem in tele-cooperation.
