备用证与跟单信用证的比较

摘　　要：备用证的作用和性质与跟单信用证是不同的 ,但长期以来备用证业务却依附于国际商会关于跟单信用证的国际惯例。新近颁发的《国际备用证惯例》使备用证成为独立的。Standbys differ from documentary letters of credit both in function and in nature. But for a long time, standby business has followed international customs of documentary letters of credit as stipulated by the International Commercial Committee (ICC). This paper discusses the features of standby business by comparing the newly issued International Customs of Standbys with Uniform Customs Concerning Documentary Letters of Credit.
