摘　　要：史念海教授对中国历史农业地理方面的研究一直甚为重视 ,对历史农业地理学学科理论、北方地区农牧分界线变迁、黄河流域和长江流域主要农业区兴衰变迁、黄河流域蚕桑业盛衰变迁、黄土高原农林牧分布地区变迁等相关问题 ,都进行了深入细致的研究和探讨 ,并培养了一大批专门研究人才 ,为这门学科的发展做出了杰出的贡献。Professor has always attached great importance to the research into Ch inese historical agrogeography. Thoroughgoing and painstaking research work has been done concerning the theories of historical agrogeography, changes in demar cation line of farming and animal husbandry in northern area, prosperity and dec line in the agricultural regions in the Huanghe River and the Changjiang River v alleys, ups and downs in industry of silkworm breeding and mulberry growing in t he Huanghe River valley, and changes in regional distribution of farming, forest ry and animal husbandry in loess plateau among other relevant issues. People of talent in this field come forward in large numbers due to his endeavors and he had made outstanding contributions to the development of the discipline.
