摘　　要：“蔑历”一词在西周金文中习见 ,关于此词的解释 ,众说纷纭 ,莫衷一是 ① 。西周有蔑历礼 ,从文献记载、出土材料、西周金文等方面综合考察 ,“蔑历”在铭文中的意义应即“赐食”。The Chinese word '篾历' is frequently read in the Jin language in the West Zhou Dynasty. However, there are different explanations of its sense. In the period of West Zhou, there is the rite of '篾历'. Based on the study of the inherited documents, the unearthed relics, and the Jin language itself, the word '篾历' should mean 'give food'.
