摘　　要：本文讨论了计算机局域网评价工具LANPET的设计思想和实现方法,LANPET是一个结合测量和模拟技术的局域网性能评价工具。它首先通过测量的手段,采集局域网在某一配置情况下的特征性能参数,依采集的数据为依据,通过模拟的方法研究在不同配置环境下对网络性能的影响,从而达到优化网络性能的目的,最后以目前国内外流行的3plus网和novell网为评价对象,使用LANPET作为评价工具,比较和分析了它们在不同配置条件下的网络性能.This thesis presents the design idea and implementation details of LANPET(local Arda Network Performance Evaluation Tool),the tool of composingmeasure ment and simulation techmiques. LANPET consists of a benchmark module and a simulation module. In LANPET the characterized performance parameters are collected or refined, through a runtime benchmark measurement in a LAN system. Based on the measuremeat, the LANPET gives the effect of LAN's performance under different configuration environments after simuation experiments By using the two popular LAN products-3 plus and novell as experiment objects, the analysis and comparison of the performances are described The last part of the paper gives a conclusion
