摘　　要：在科学飞速发展的今天,学科的结构越来越复杂,同时学科间的渗透,又进一步导致了文献的无序与分散;SCI基于引文索引而建立的检索机制十分独特,利用引文索引,可以跨时间跨学科,发现传统的索引方法无法提供的信息,对科研项目的规划和科技前沿课题的调研具有相当重要的作用。As science is developing rapidly, the structure of subjects is becoming more and more com plicated. Meanwhile, subjects infiltration makes documents disordered and dispersed. SCI is very original, which is a kind of searching mechanism established on the basis of quotational index..Using quotational index, you can leap over space- time and different subjects to find the information that the tradational method can not offer. This is very important to program.
