摘　　要：分析了具有强大地图功能的ActiveX控件———MapX的特点,给出了应用MapX控件和面向对象语言相结合开发地理信息系统的新方法。并以天津市东丽区武装部地理信息系统的开发为例,详细介绍了图层操作、查找定位、信息查询及投影与坐标系的转换等功能的实现。This paper analyses a mapping Activex(OCX)control-MapX that lets you easily add powerful mapping capabilities to your applications and introduces an easy way of using MapX and object-oriented programming languages to develop Geographic Information System.In this article,the author makes a case study of the Dongli GIS to illustrate how to perform the functions of controlling layers,searching features and changing coordinate system etc.
