摘　　要：The research of Geographical Information System(GIS)is one of the most active fields today.With the development of GIS,the OpenGIS specification comes into being. It is currently in its initial stage. The goal of OpenGIS specification is to solve the geodata sharing and interoperable geoprocessing,and to provide the service of the geodata sharing and geographical information. This paper presents the goal,scope,service,status of OpenGIS specification and its perspective.The research of Geographical Information System (GIS) is one of the most active fields today.
