艾略特《荒原》的意象系统和解读困惑

摘　　要：艾略特的《荒原》是诗歌史上最难解读的诗作之一。该诗难以解读的根本原因在于思想容量大和反传统反理性的艺术表现手法。根据欧美现代派诗歌注重“意象性结构”的特点 ,从意象系统入手去解读《荒原》 ,该诗中交织着“枯萎”、“死亡”、“情欲”、“再生”四个意象系统 ,它们使诗看似零乱无序的“章句”与作者要表达的基本思想拈连起来了。由此入手的解读 。The Waste Land written by Eiiot is one of the most difficult poens in the history of poetry.The main reason for this is that it has a Large capacity in ideas and artistic manifestations against tradition and reason.The author of this paper comes up with a way of comprehending the poem,that is ,by means of image systems within the framework of 'image structure',which European and American modern poetry lays stress on.The author also thinks that The Waste Land is a poem complexly interwoven with four image systems--the withering system,the death system,the sextual passion system and the revival system,which relate the chapters,sections,sentences and phrases that seem to be in disorder with the basic ideas the poet wants to express.Comprending the poem this way,readers can avoid the puzzle caused by the traditional perception or interpretation.
