摘　　要：历史民族志是一种文本文献 ,所提供的信息是立体的 ,而不仅仅包括文字所传递的内容。从纵向上看 ,历代民族志构成了一部民族知识史 ,体现了历代在这方面的认识与发展过程 ,同时还被深深地打上了作者本人的烙印。Ethnic histories belong to a kind of text documents but they offer much more information than the texts themselves. The ethnic histories have constituted a knowledge-acquiring history of these ethnic groups and revealed their step-by-step cognitive process at different historical periods as well as the clear marks of the writers.
