摘  要:民国初年,西餐馆、番菜馆及西式饮品在都市社会逐渐流行,在餐饮消费中占有一定地位。西餐不仅出现在名流显贵与上层官绅交结宴会的场合,也出现在各种庆典活动以及新潮人士的婚礼上。西式餐饮是城市社会生活多元化变迁的一个侧面,但西餐与官场奢靡之风的紧密联系,又折射出民国初年不良的政治现象。报刊舆论对官场与社会追捧西餐的批评和嘲讽,既表达了对民国现实的不满,又反映出中、西餐饮文化交汇过程中都市社会心态的变化。In the early years of the Republic of China,Western-style restaurants,food and drinks became popular in Chinese urban society and occupied a certain share of catering consumption. Western-style food appeared in the banquets of celebrities and dignitaries,celebrations,as well as the weddings of fashioned people. The western style catering was one aspect of the diversifications of urban social life,in the meanwhile,it also mixed with the official extravagance which reflected the unhealthy political behaviors in the Republic of China. The newspapers criticism and ridicule of these phenomena expressed dissatisfaction with the reality of the Republic of China,also reflected the changes of urban social mentality in the convergence of Chinese and western diet culture.
