摘　　要：Chinese President Xi Jinping recently stressed the importance of promoting implementation of the basic State policy of gender equality,and of protecting women'and children's legal rights and interests.He made the remarks when he met the new leadership of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF)on November 2,2018.Xi's comments highlighted the CPC (Communist Party of China)Central Committee's care for women and children.Xi's instructions not only helped cadres with women's federations,at all levels across the country,set the goals for improving their work related to helping women and children protect their legal rights and interests,but also provided a solid guarantee for promoting women's overall development.
