摘　　要：林语堂人生事业的一个不是非常广为人知但是非常重要的身份是报刊活动家。他报刊活动的深层价值追求是入世利民。这种价值追求的确立与他早年小学、中学、大学期间在教会学校所受的教育有关。同时,林语堂又是一个才华横溢的文学家。利民精神与艺术精神的缠绕互动,影响了他的报刊写作,也形塑了他的报刊活动面貌。在这种基本面貌下,林语堂的报刊人生大致可以划分为三个阶段,贯穿三个阶段的是战斗与自由的互动曲。Lin Yutang's identity as an activist of the press is not well known but very important.His journalistic value orientation was set on the engagement in the society for the sake of people,such orientation related with his primary, secondary and tertiary education.And he was also a literary writer.The interaction of serving people and art pursuit affected his journalistic writing style and outlook of press activities.So his journalistic life can be divided into three phases, which was interwoven with a melody of fighting and freedom.
