Objective To investigate the effect of blood glucose level on maternal and neonatal outcomes in patients with gestational diabetes. Methods 40 patients with gestational diabetes were enrolled in the study group,40 healthy pregnant women in pregnancy were set as the control group. The fasting blood glucose and average blood glucose levels of the two groups were compared. The pregnancy outcome, labor course and complication rate of the two groups were compared. The incidence of neonatal complications was compared between the two groups. Results The fasting blood glucose and average blood glucose levels of the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.01),the first, second and third stages of labor were significantly longer than those in the control group(P<0.01).The normal delivery rate of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of maternal complications and neonatal complications were all significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with gestational diabetes have high blood sugar, long labor, and high incidence of complications in pregnant women and neo-nates.
