山西垣曲地区旧石器考古调查简报  

A Brief Report on Paleolithic Archaeological Investigation in Yuanqu Area,Shanxi Province

摘　　要：垣曲地区位于山西柯南部,区域内早更新世和中更新世地层出露较好。2017年3月,对该区域过往发现的旧石器地点进行了核查。新发现旧石器地点14处,获得石制品和动物化石50余件。石制品原料以石英、石英岩和石英砂岩为主,类型包括石核、石片、工具、断块。工具可见刮削器、砍砸器、石刀等。Yuanqu region, including Yuanqu basin and Tongshan basin, is located in the south of Shanxi province, where the early Pleistocene and middle Pleistocene layers are well exposed. We verified the Paleolithic sites previously discovered in the area in March, 2017, and 14 new sites of Paleolithic were found and more than 50 pieces of stone artifacts and animal fossils were obtained. The raw materials of stone artifacts are mainly quartz, quartzite and quartz sandstone, the types of which include stone cores, stone tablets, tools and broken blocks. And the tools include scrapers, choppers, stone knives, etc. The age of the sites is dominated by the early Paleolithic age, including the middle and the late Paleolithic ages.
