摘　　要：西部大开发是在东西部发展差距拉大 ,通货紧缩 ,面临加入WTO ,以及亟需加强生态环境保持的压力下做出的战略选择。在我国市场经济体制初步建立的条件下 ,西部大开发既不同于“一五”与“三线”建设时期的西部大建设 ,也不同于 2 0世纪 80年代的东部大发展 ,它具有鲜明的特点。这些特点决定了西部大开发要突出一个“大”字 ,即要培育大企业集团。The great leap development of west regions is a reasonable selection with the eastern western regions development distance enlarging, deflation, improving the ecological environment, participating in the WTO. Under the preliminary marketing economy system, The Great leap development of western regions is different from the western development at the time 'the First five year plan' and 'the Third front construct', and from 1980's eastern development. It has a evident feature which concentrate a 'large', large enterprise group, large capital market, large city
