摘　　要：学术界对钟嗣成的生卒年月争论很大，有吴晓铃、容肇祖、李春祥等人的几 种说法。笔者认为钟民生于公元１２８３年，卒于１３４５年后两三年内。《录鬼 簿》之所以版本多，是钟氏生前没有定本，也无条件付梓问世，仅靠好事者 传钞所致。钟氏撰《录鬼簿》的目的，是为身处社会底层的元杂剧作家鸣不 平，借此书以使高才博识诸名公才人流芳于后世。《录鬼簿》是我国戏曲史 上第一部有关元杂剧的断代目录学专著，不能拔高它为元杂剧的历史著 作。There are many heated disputes in acadamic circles about Zhong Sicheng's birthday and dead day, such as Wu Xiaoling's statement, Rong Zhaozu's statement, Li Chunxiang's statement. In the author's opinion Zhong was born in 1283 and died in 2 to 3 years after 1345. The reason why the book 'Record of the past Dramatists' has so many edi- tions because there was no fixed edition before Zhong's death. Then there was no condition for the book to be published. It was handed down only by the handwriting of the people who were interested in it. The purpose of Zhong's writing the book was to complain of unfairness for the poetic drama writers who lived at the bottom of society and to make them leave good names. The book 'Record of the Past Dramtists' is the first dynastic bibliographic work about the poetic drama in the Yuan dynasty in the play history of our country, but can't be built up as a historic work about the poetic drama in the Yuan dynasty.
