摘　　要：文章首先较详细地介绍了面向对象的数据库建模语言—— ODL( ObjectDefinition L anguage,对象定义语言 ) ,并且通过实例把它与传统的 E/ R图建模方法进行了分析与比较 ,说明了它们在表达上的一些不同之处 。This paper first introduces ODL (Object Definition Language), a database modeling language which is object oriented,then analyzes it through examples and contrasts it with traditional modeling method of E/R figures,and explains the differences between these two methods,at last clarifies the situations that each are applicable.
