摘　　要：论述了在当前形势下,中国大学图书馆应重新诠释其使命,即从支持教学改革、支持科学研究、参加大学信息基础设施建设、保障学生信息平等方面支持高等教育的发展,以及应在支持个人的学习方面发挥自己不可替代的作用。Under current situations,the new mission of library in China universities should be annotated again,that is,libraries should be brought into full play in supporting teaching re-forms ,supporting scientific researches,participating in the information infrastructure con struc-tion of colleges and universities,and assuring information equality of students,and thus sup-port the development of higher education and personal studies.
