摘 要:由于曾统称长江流域、黄河流域及南疆为“中熟”棉区 ,导致东部地区品种引种到南疆出现晚熟等不适应的问题。根据各地的≥ 1 0℃积温与无霜期 ,以适于长江流域种植的棉花品种定位为中熟类型作基础 ,将我国植棉区域划分为 :特早熟(辽河流域 )、早熟 (北疆 )、次早熟 (南疆 )、中早熟(黄河流域 )、中熟 (长江流域 )和晚熟 (华南 ) 6个生态区 ;其中的 4个生态区由于地域与无霜期的不同 ,又各划分为 2个生态地区 (亚区 )A new regionalization of the cotton production in China is suggested on the basis of ecological conditions in the production areas with the intention of resolving the problems caused by the traditional division patterns, in which the Yangtze River Valley Planting Region, the Yellow River Valley Planting Region and South Xinjiang Planting Region were all recognized as Mid maturity Planting Regions, so cotton varieties from the first 2 regions when introduced to South Xinjiang a Sub early maturity Planting Region for commercial production, would be too late in maturity. The new division, based on the local accumulated temperature of ≥10℃ and the days of frost free period, and accommodating the cotton varieties of the Yangtze River Valley Planting Region as Mid maturity type, would define 6 ecological regions for cotton production in China as follows: Special Early Maturity Region (Liaohe Valley); Early Maturity Region (North Xinjiang); Sub early Maturity Region (South Xinjiang); Mid early Maturity Region (Yellow River Valley); Mid Maturity Region (Yangtze River Valley); and Late Maturity Region (South China). 4 of them, namely, the 1st,2nd,4th and 5th region, are furtherly divided into 2 sub regions according to their local environments and the length of the frost free days.
