摘　　要：武关是古代设于自长安、关中通往南阳、江汉以至东南的交通大道上的一处险要关隘 ,是构成和屏障关中最为重要的战略要塞 ,曾经在中国古代社会及历史发展过程中占据十分重要的地位。本文凭藉文献资料和实地考察两个途径 。Wuguan Pass is an ancient difficult access, which was strategically located on the main traffic line from ancient Chang'an, the Central Shaanxi Plain to Nanyang of He'nan, Jianghan of Hubei and further to Southeastern regions. It constituted and served as a vital strategic fortress and played an important role in the social and historical development process of ancient China. The paper makes a textual research on the basis of documentary data and on the spot investigation so as to throw light on the location of Wuguan Pass and relevant issues.
