摘　　要：简要回顾了光纤通信的发展 ,介绍了从PDH到SDH、WDM的必然进程 ,指出进一步的发展方向是自动交换光网络。重点介绍了自动交换光网络的总体结构及控制平面 ,提出了有待进一步研究的问题。From PDH to SDH and WDM, a review of developments on digital optical fiber communications is discussed in this paper. It's pointed out that the development trend is ASON. Then the focus is on the main structure and control plane of the ASON. At last, some problems are presented.
