Especially LLDPE and PP, two items' market price dropped sharply in the second half of 2001 due to a lot of import cargo. According to statistics, quantity of import cargo in 2001 is much more than that in 2000. That is the main factor which lead unbalance of supply and demand. Therefor, each petrochemical manufacturers and middle traders suffered heavy loss. Thus, we think it is very important for us to summarize and analyze the cause of dull market in 2001. As that will help us improve our ability of marketing management and help us make accurate forecast of market.
